Emmy award winning actress Zendaya recently did a Q&A for her Vogue Italia cover shoot, where she revealed that she would like to direct an episode of Euphoria.
“It’s funny. I was actually supposed to direct episode 6, but then I had to act in it.”
Zendaya continued:
“I didn’t have enough time, so unfortunately, I wasn’t able to this time around. I wanted to have enough time to do it the right way. So, next season probably.”
Euphoria stars Zendaya as Rue Bennett, a recovering teenage drug addict who struggles to find her place in the world, and follows a group of high school students through their experiences of identity, trauma, drugs, self-harm, family, friendships, love, and sex.
I'm definitely here for Zendaya directing an episode of the third season, since many actors who take an interest in directing usually cut their teeth via the TV show they're a part of.
No word on when the new season of Euphoria will start shooting, but the third season is set to premiere sometime in 2024.
