It looks like OUTtv has a huge hit on their hands, because according to C21 Media, not only has X-Rated: NYC been renewed for two more seasons, but they also have an LA version in development.
Produced by Daddy TV, X-Rated: NYC follows queer porn superstars Boomer Banks, Max Konnor, Joey Mills and Dante Colle as they navigate life, romance and drama on the east coast.
The six-episode first season premiered back in September, with the season finale concluding on Monday (October 24).
Here's what Daddy TV co-founder Topher Cusumano had to say in a release:
“Daddy TV is thrilled to continue our partnership with OUTtv to create unique sex-positive content for queer audiences. The viewer response to X-Rated has been incredible, and we can’t wait to showcase even more adult superstars in a whole new light.”
OUTtv COO Philip Webb added the following:
“X-Rated: NYC quickly garnered a large audience that is continuing to build. The immediate success of X-Rated: NYC, alongside other OUTtv Originals, confirms our strategy of focusing on truly original, queer programming.”
X-Rated: LA will follow the same premise as New York, exploring the world of adult entertainment in LA. Be on the lookout for an announcement of the West Coast cast to be announced soon.
Even though there were some scenarios on X-Rated:NYC that felt a bit staged, I have to say I did enjoy the first season. Since LA is considered the porn capital, it will be interesting to see who they choose to be part of that cast.
