With only two episodes left in it’s excellent third season, HBO has announced that it has in fact renewed Westworld for a fourth season.

“From the western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy,” said Casey Bloys, president of HBO Programming. “We can’t wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next.”

Returning cast members this season included Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, and Jeffrey Wright, with newcomers including Tessa Thomspon, Aaron Paul, and Vincent Cassel.

After a disappointingly dry second season, I must say that I have enjoyed this season, since it’s become more straightforward in regards of story and plot, and is really stepping it up in regards to character development and the action sequences. I’m also excited to see if Dolores’ plan against Serac is executed, and who will come out victorious in the ultimate Maeve-Dolores showdown.

The season finale of Westworld airs on Sunday, May 3 at 9pm on HBO
