WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED, SHERRI SHEPHERD’S SHOW TO PREMIERE THIS FALL

If you were expecting the queen of all media Wendy Williams to make that triumphant comeback, and reclaim her purple chair from the revolving door of celebrity hosts, don’t hold your breath, because it looks like Fox is done with the long-running talk show.

The Wendy Williams Show, which has been on the air for 13 seasons, is officially set to sashay away in June. Now that Sherri Shepherd has finalized her deal, the former co-host of The View is set to kick off her solo talk show in the fall.

A source close to the show exclusively told B Scott that “The producers informed everyone that the [Wendy Show] was being canceled at the end of June. Then in the next breath they hired everyone to work on the new Sherri show.”

There were also reports that execs have been trying to cut ties with Williams for quite sometime, and were scouting for possible replacements, but had no luck.

A source close to production were also saying that she had become increasingly difficult to work with prior to her medical leave.

“[Wendy] had become somewhat unbearable, having tantrums and throwing things at people. Basically, the consensus among the crew is that she didn’t wanna be there anymore. Her illnesses may have exacerbated that feeling.”

After being MIA for five months, Wendy appeared on the beach last week in Florida appearing in good spirits.

With all the reports regarding her laundry list of illnesses, including rumors that she’s suffering from dementia, Wells Fargo putting a conservatorship on her coins, and the recent reports that she’s gotten back with her cheating ex-husbandger, I’m surprised she hasn’t used her personal Instagram account, which was also created last week to inform her fans with what’s going on.

Quiet as it’s kept, I’m starting to think she really likes the attention, because anytime your name is in the mouths of the blogs, it’s keeps you relevant.

Whatever is really going on with Wendy, I really hope she gets herself together, and will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes.

Sidebar: I know Sherri’s deal has already been finalized, but I would really love to see Debmar-Mercury produce a show with Bevy Smith and Terrence J. I thought they made a dynamic duo all last week, and we could use a morning show with black co-hosts.

They’d give Kelly and Ryan’s boring asses a run for their morning show money.
