Controversial queer singer and choreographer Todrick Hall sat down for a Kiki at his LA home with trans author and activist Hope Giselle, and the two chopped it up on a plethora of topics:
Such as, his upbringing, the struggles of being an independent artist, if he pays his dancers, if he's ever had relations with any of his dancers, the struggles of being a black artist in mainstream white spaces, if he has an issue with dating black men, if he's a top or a bottom, the controversy surrounding his Beauty and the Beat music video, and much more.
Hope came with the tea, and I have to say she definitely humanized Todrick in this interview. I also loved that she revealed her own misconceptions about his personality straight to his face, which so many people are scared to do.
While it did seem as if he dodged the mainstream press when it came to his stint on Celebrity Big Brother, I love how candid he was with Hope in this interview.
I'm not sure how recent this was filmed, but I wish she would have asked questions regarding the controversy surrounding The Real Friends of WeHo, but overall great interview.
