One of my favorite Drag Race queens and All Stars 2 winner Alaska Thunderfuck has unleashed the visual for Beautiful (night 4 a) Breakdown, the second single from her forthcoming album Red 4 Filth.
The track is written by Chester Krupa, Ferras, Jesse Saint John, Jordan Palmer, Justin Honard (aka Alaska), Nick Laughlin, Stolar (with production by Ivan And Peter, Stolar & Chester Krupa) and as Alaska explains, is an anthem that celebrates the parts of us that so many of us work to conceal. Alaska explains, “I live with hysteria, tantrums, and breakdowns on pretty much a daily basis. So this is a beautiful dance anthem that is celebrating the liberating power that you can find by being comfortable and familiar with your inner demons, rather than trying to run from them or hide them.”
This type of sound is quite a departure from what I’m used to bearing from Alaska, and I have to say between first single Red, and BN4AB, I’m really looking forward to hearing more from this album.
Speaking of which, Alaska will be headlining her first North American tour in 2022, performing classics like Hieeeee, Walk Into The Club, and Your Makeup is Terrible, as well as cuts off her forthcoming album.
