Here is your first look at the trailer for Wrong Turn, a fresh new take on the cult 2003 horror film that starred Eliza Dushku and Desmond Harrington.
Here’s a synopsis for the film:
“Backwoods terror and never-jangling suspense meet when Jen (Charlotte Vega) and a group of friends set out to hike the Appalachian Trail. Despite warnings to stick to the trail, the hikers stray off course—and cross into land inhabited by The Foundation, a hidden community of mountain dwellers who use deadly means to protect their way of life.
“Suddenly under siege, Jen and her friends seem headed to the point of no return— unless Jen’s father (Golden Globe nominee Matthew Modine) can reach them in time.”

The cast includes Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Haunt), Bill Sage (“Hap and Leonard”), Emma Dumont (“The Gifted”), Valerie Jane Parker (“Greenleaf”), Chaney Morrow (Haunt) and David Hutchinson (“American Horror Story”).
Directed by Mike P. Nelson and written by Alan B. McElroy (who wrote the first film), Wrong Turn will premiere in theaters for one night only on January 26, 2021. Tickets for the premiere event will be available at Fathom Events and at movie theater box offices starting Jan. 8.
I loved the original Wrong Turn, and even enjoyed the over the top sequel. This new take seems like these kids are being stalked by a bunch of inbred Trump supporters, which is quite fitting in the times we’re living in.
