TRAILER TRASH: THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME

Ever since the huge success of Extraction, Netflix has been killing it in the original action movie market. The streaming service dropped the new trailer for the film, The Last Days of American Crime, and I have to admit I’m digging the film’s premise, which is based on the graphic novel. Don’t be surprised if the economy continues to be affected by Miss Rona that the government won’t attempt to come up with the tech to neuter criminals, both future and current.

A synopsis of the film reads: As a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. Graham Bricke, a career criminal who was never able to hit the big score, teams up with famous gangster progeny Kevin Cash, and black market hacker Shelby Dupree, to commit the heist of the century and the last crime in American history before the signal goes off.

The Last Days of American Crime, which stars stars Emmy Award-nominated actor Édgar Ramírez (American Crime StoryJungle Cruise), Michael Pitt (Boardwalk EmpireGhost In The Shell), and Anna Brewster (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will stream on Netflix June 5th.
