Trailer Trash: Queer Horror Film Knock At The Cabin

Writer's picture: Kris AvalonKris Avalon

The trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's new queer horror film A Knock At The Cabin has finally arrived, and I have to say it's very creepy.

Based on Paul Tremblay's terrifying novel The Cabin At The End of The World, the film stars Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge as Andrew and Eric, who along with their daughter Wen (Kristen Cui) take a vacation to a remote cabin in the woods.

It is there that they are taken hostage by a group of strangers (led by Dave Bautista) who claim that they (Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint) were chosen to prevent the apocalypse, and that the family will have to make a horrifying choice — or else, they warn, the world will end.

When I heard about this film a few months ago, I was excited, but also nervous because M. Night hasn't always had the best track record when it comes to his films (Glass, Old, The Happening immediately come to mind). However, after seeing the trailer, it looks pretty good and I'm definitely going to check this out in the theater.

Knock at the Cabin is set to hit theaters on February 3, 2023. Check out the trailer below.
