Trailer Trash: Miami Dolls

My new drag obsession has finally arrived, because Daddy TV, the same production company behind shows such as For The Love of DILFs, Hot Haus and X-Rated: NYC, have announced a brand new reality series entitled Miami Dolls, about the trans performers who work at the legendary Palace Bar in Miami Beach.

via Out:

The main cast of Miami Dolls features Edna Mwah, Fantasia Royale Gaga, Nicky Monet, Rasheeda Phox, and Tiffany Fantasia. With everything going on politically. the docu-series will focus on the lives, loves, and careers of these incredibly talented drag queens, with the goal of the show “to celebrate trans joy instead of trauma,” according executive producer Topher Cusumano.

Miami Dolls has been dubbed as a “comedy docuseries.” However, the series is also aware that it's important now more than ever to give a platform to a marginalized group of people performing and living their lives in Florida and other conservative states during a time where their visibility and activism is necessary.

As for the cast, “Fanny,” Fantasia Royale Gaga has lived in South Florida for the past 10 years and is a well-known entertainer and spokesperson in the region. Nicky Monet is a showgirl, TV personality, and activist who spends most of her time between Los Angeles and Miami. Tiffany Fantasia is an actor, drag performer, and singer-songwriter with a college education in jazz. Rasheeda Phox is a pageant and ballroom doll who also works as an HIV tester and counselor. Edna Mwah grew up in Ohio but is now taking Miami by storm with her stage presence and epic performances.

Anyone who ever travels to Miami knows that Palace Bar is the spot to visit, and you know I live for my T girls.

Also with all the vitriol the trans community is currently facing, it's about time we see some trans women on TV where we get an insight into their lives.

Miami Dolls is available to stream now on OUTtv.com
