Showtime has unleashed the trailer for Let The Right One In, which, if you're keeping count has been developed for a third time.
Based on the John Ajvide Lindqvist novel of the same name, the 10-episode series centers around Mark (Damian Bichir) and his daughter Elenor (Madison Taylor Baez) whose lives are changed 10 days prior when she's turned into a vampire.
Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive. With these emotionally charged and terrifying ingredients as a starting point, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN will upend genre expectations, turning a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength and compassion.
Grace Gummer ("Mr. Robot"), Anika Noni Rose ("Dreamgirls"), Kevin Carroll ("The Leftovers"), Ian Foreman ("The Holiday Switch"), Nick Stahl (Fear the Walking Dead) and Jacob Buster ("Colony") also star.

Let the Right One In will be available to Showtime subscribers via streaming and on demand on Friday, October 7, and will officially premiere on Showtime on October 9.
I loved the original 2008 Swedish film, and the 2010 Matt Reeves-directed, American remake with Chloe Grace Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee wasn't bad either.
However I must based on the trailer I do like the fact that the series seems to be focusing more on the father-daughter relationship, and how Mark will do anything to protect his daughter, rather than focus on the story between Elenor and her next door neighbor, Oskar.
I love stories involving vampires, so if you've got an interesting take on the genre I'm always open to checking it out.
