In the powerful trailer for queer film El Houb (The Love), a closeted Moroccan-Dutch man named Karim returns to his family home and opens up to his parents about being attracted to men. Their reaction inspires a journey of discovery through Karim's isolation as he attempts to break an ingrained culture of silence
El Houb is currently making the queer festival circuits, and at the moment there's no word on when the film will get a theatrical release.
I just hope queer streaming service Dekkoo ends up snagging the distribution rights, since this type of content is right up their alley.
