AMC is showing that they're up for the task of adapting Interview With a Vampire for the small screen, with our first look at the trailer.
The series is an adaptation of Anne Rice’s iconic gothic horror novel, originally released in 1976. The novel sees a 200 year-old vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac recount his bloody life story to a reporter, particularly focusing on his romance with the vampire that turned him, Lestat de Lioncourt, and the twisted family unit they form with their 10 year-old vampire “daughter” Claudia.
Sam Reid takes over the role of Lestat de Lioncourt (originally played by Tom Cruise in the big screen adaptation) in the AMC’s upcoming “Interview with the Vampire” series. Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones) is Louis, Eric Bogosian is Daniel Molloy, and Bailey Bass is Claudia.
Interview With a Vampire, which consists of seven episodes premieres on AMC and AMC+ October 2 at 10 pm.
