TEASER TRAILER TRASH: CHUCKY (TV Series)

Here is your first look at the teaser for the upcoming Chucky TV series, which is set to premiere on both USA and Syfy in early 2021.

The series, from franchise creator Don Mancini and “Channel Zero” mastermind Nick Antosca will explore Chucky’s character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format.

A synopsis for the series reads:

“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

The teaser doesn’t give us much to salivate over, but as a fan of the first two films, I’m thoroughly excited to see how they can make a franchise about a killer doll work on the small screen.
