After the success of Squid Game, it looks like we’ll be getting a lot more seasons down the pike, if negotiations go as planned over at Netflix.
In an interview with Korean broadcaster KBS, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk said he’s currently speaking with the streaming giant about the show’s future.
“I’m in talks with Netflix over season 2 as well as season 3,” the 50-year-old said, according to Korea Times. “We will come to a conclusion any time soon.”
“It’s true that we are discussing a wide variety of possibilities for Squid Game, including the production of a Season 3, but nothing has yet been set in stone,” Netflix said a statement, obtained by TVLine.
I loved Squid Game when it premiered on Netflix , and after the season 1 cliffhanger, I’m intrigued to see where they will take future seasons.
