RuPaul Claims Madonna Treated Him Like a 'Worthless EUNUCH' When They First met - and 'SNARLED at Him' When He Entered the Room

In his upcoming memoir The House of Hidden Meanings, RuPaul has made sensational claims about Madonna, alleging that the popstar treated him like a 'worthless eunuch' when they met back in the 1980s.

He says the Like A Virgin star was furious that he had even dared walk into the same room as her.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race host, 61, explains that he first learned of Madonna, 65, when she was working the coat check at New York club Danceteria

As he tried to find fame in the city, he attended a seminar in 1984 where she spoke about her own struggle to make it to the top.

He writes that some time later he bumped into her again in the break room of the Pyramid club, where he was working as a go-go dancer.

Describing how she was holding court with a small group of people, RuPaul says that Madge looked at him “with an expression I’ll never forget”.

He says he saw a “snarl of contempt at the sight of me, cold fury that I would deign to enter while she was in the room”.

Clearly hurt by the snub, RuPaul explains that Madonna made no attempt to conceal that she was thinking “How dare you take up oxygen in my world?”

He puts it down to her having succeeded because she understood the world they lived in was a system where sex conferred power.

She sized up everyone she dealt with based on whether they could “add anything to that equation”, he writes, adding: “In clocking me as a eunuch, I became worthless to her.”

RuPaul says that in that moment, Madonna reminded him of his own mother Toni, explaining that both were Leos who were “cold to a fault”.

Much of the book, which will be published on March 5, focusses on RuPaul’s fraught relationship with his mom and his dad.

He writes that he never felt at ease with them because they were “narcissistic” people whose “needs superseded whatever mine were”.

He also reveals that his mother was told by a psychic when she was pregnant with him that he was “bound to be famous”.

The book covers RuPaul’s childhood in San Diego, his first steps towards stardom after moving to Atlanta and how he found fame in New York.

It also deals with his many romantic disappointments before meeting husband Georges LeBar and his decades-long battle with substance abuse.

Despite his disappointment at his interaction with Madonna all those years ago, RuPaul - whose full name is RuPaul Andre Charles - doesn't seem to have held a grudge against her.

The episode featured U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and model Winnie Harlow as guest judges alongside regular panelists RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Madonna’s reps asking for comment.

In April 2020, RuPaul’s Drag Race featured an episode titled Madonna: The Unauthorized Rusical.

Contestants were tasked with recording vocals to Madonna-inspired songs.

Now we know why Madonna will never appear on RuPaul's Drag Race as a celebrity guest judge. That, and back in the day she sent a cease and desist to Michelle Visage for copying her look when she was in the group Seduction.

I love hearing this story from Ru, and I hope Madonna will appear on Drag Race one day, especially since she has Bob the Drag Queen touring with her, and she has been bringing a lot of Drag Race queens on stage with her during the vogue judging sequence.
