The Good Luck Babe! songstress, 27, took to the 2025 Fashion Los Angeles Awards red carpet last week but all eyes swiftly turned to her behavior - and not her quirky ensemble - during the incident.
The drama unfolded as the singer waved at fans while flanked by two companions. She then appeared to collide with her assistant before seemingly using her arm to push her away before walking off.
The assistant was seen widening her eyes in horror and flashing a wry smile after the awkward moment - although another closer angle of the incident showed a very light collision and Roan gently pushing her assistant away.
Fans took to social media to slam Roan for the 'rude and disrespectful act' with one writing: 'She’s got such a nasty evil spirit
Others wrote: 'it was an emotional and psychological push, with her hand there to infer of a push… truly sinister

'Even as a fan of her it’s quite obvious it was rude of her to do that, even if she didn’t touch the woman, it was still rude and disrespectful to do
'Even if she didn’t push her it was still rude. It’s clear the woman was trying to go one way and didn’t see Chappell, moving her out the way like that was unnecessary.'
Others came out in support of the Pink Pony Club hitmaker, with one fan writing: 'She literally just tapped her to let her know she’s there cause she’s looking the other way ?
'She didn’t do anything wrong at all
'This was clearly just a misunderstanding, they were both trying to go one way, not seeing each other and collided, Chappell put her hand up so she wouldn’t bump into her and the woman backed away on her own, poor Chappell always in unfortunate situations.
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Chappell Roan for comment.
Last month Chappell admitted she's 'very in love' as she revealed she's been in a 'serious' relationship for the past six months.
The singer opened up on her love life on the Call Her Daddy podcast, explaining that she and her unnamed girlfriend had previously dated, before she shot to stardom.
And the pop star admitted that had the couple not rekindled their romance, she would have found dating a 'nightmare' due to her trust issues and would be 'terrified of their intentions'.

When asked if she was single, Chappell, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, revealed she had been with her girlfriend for six months, clarifying 'it's serious'.
She went on: 'I’m very in love, but I am pro-single. Everyone should be single, I’m serious.
'Be single. Stop dating. Be single. Have a great time alone. Find out for yourself if you can one hundred per cent be okay alone before you date.
'That’s what I found out. I had a great time when I was single, and I know that I’ll be okay, and now I have an awesome time that I’m with someone.'
Giving more insight into her romance, she explained they had been set up by a mutual friend, but had already been involved in the past.
