Rapper and podcaster Joe Budden was criminally charged in New Jersey this week for reportedly being seen “completely naked” by a neighbor at their apartment complex.

According to reports, Budden is scheduled to appear in court on January 16 to face charges related to “sexual misconduct or indecency in public.”
The alleged incident occurred on December 4, and on December 30th, the Edgewater Police Department issued a press release describing the event. According to the statement, officers were called to an apartment complex after a resident was alerted by their doorbell camera.
The footage reportedly showed Budden standing naked outside the apartment building. The video also shows him attempting to enter a code on a neighbor’s door keypad before returning to his own apartment across the hall.
Budden has yet to respond to these claims as of yet. However, he did previously mentioned on his podcast that he is a “sleepwalker.”
I was talking to a friend of mine about this, and they said that they believe that this might have been an Ambien episode. If Joe has trouble sleeping and is using Ambien to help him sleep (which may be causing his sleepwalking), this would be scary.
I think we also need to address the fact that this is a medical issue that should be resolved by a doctor, but the insurance companies would rather keep you addicted to prescription meds instead of trying to help cure his sleep disorder, hence Joe allegedly taking Ambien.
