After going on the record earlier this year to say she will never return to music, rumors are swirling that Britney Spears has reached out to a few songwriters for a possible musical comeback.

Pop sensation Britney Spears will return to music, according to iconic collaborator, Markus Klinko, who will be exhibiting at the BG GALLERY inside the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica.
The renowned photographer and "pop culture kingmaker" reveals that the superstar, who was released from a conservatorship in 2021, is mulling over a return date. And that will only be when the "one of the best performers that has ever lived is in the mood."
Britney has not released a full new album since 2016's Glory and fresh singles have been remixed versions of archived tracks. Insiders say several producers have offered Britney "banging tracks" and "proposals for album concepts."
German Markus, who struck up a bond during an album and commercial shoot, feels that fans will be treated to a comeback on her own terms. The respected award-winning photographer witnessed how Britney showed she was "the boss" when they worked together, even scolding her father Jamie for interrupting the set.
Markus admitted that contact has been made with Britney's handlers over new collaboration as the "world's clamoring for new sounds." Speaking exclusively on camera, Markus said: "I have told her ten times already. I'm just waiting for her to have to be in the right mood for it."
He continued: "I adore her. To be honest she is one of my top top favorite people that I've ever shot. She was lovely. She was just a darling to work with and very smart. I know it's one of her favorite photoshoots. As a matter of fact, that photo shoot I'd done for her became the best-selling merchandising of any female artist in history. Which means a lot. We shot her two best selling fragrance campaigns, Vanity Fair covers, single covers and so many magazines."
Markus is staying silent about his knowledge of when Britney will resume her singing career. The Gimme More artist has given mixed messages about her recording future too, suggesting that she is done with her career. But then in the last couple of years, the mother of two teased new projects.
Asked about why she would put off a comeback, Markus replied, "I see no reasons why not. She has all the talent in the world. She's a beautiful woman. And I think that the world would absolutely welcome that. "
Markus teased that he is aware of a bigger plan for the star: "I can't really speak on what I hear, you know, through the grapevine, my people talking to her people and all that…I think I phrased that correctly. When she will be in the mood for it, you know, we'll all know."
Britney showed that she was in charge of her image and commercial work when she shot for Markus in 2004.
Markus said: "Her dad and her manager, they went into a room and played cards. And she and I worked for 12 hours and she was in the bed and she was almost nude and and all of that. As a matter of fact, one time while she was in bed in just a bra, her dad walked into the set and she stopped, grabbed a blanket and she was like, 'Out!' and he immediately left. So she was in charge one hundred percent. So I adore Britney. She’s one of the best performers that has ever lived."
Markus has earned a reputation as one of the world's greatest ever snappers, creating unique images with an array of A-listers and icons, including Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian. His iconic shoot with David Bowie, posed with wolves, in 2001 is considered a pop culture masterpiece. Stars like Tom Cruise and True Blood’s Joe Manganiello have splashed tens of thousands on rare prints of the eight hour shoot.
Self-confident Markus is delighted to bring out unique visions of stars with his cameras. Speaking at his LA Saks Fifth Avenue exhibit collaboration with CHAM by Christy Cham and Corina Larpin’s Stefere jewelry, he explained: ”My aim when I pick up the camera and I go out to do these shoots is to really capture the essence of pop culture of the moment in time and create sort of the most memorable defining photograph of that person."
He continued: "I was once told by the CEO of Sony when I shoot someone they never look better after that and that sounds very pretentious of me saying that but I kind of think it's true you know. I feel like that moment when I when I shot Beyonce she is the most photographed woman on earth there's nobody that gets photograph more than Beyonce and you know I took the most famous photograph of the most photographed person on earth."
"I think that our society tends to really like the religion of celebrity. It is like in the ancient time of Greek gods and goddesses, our society worships celebrity. I merely hold up a mirror to society, documenting that phenomena and basically showing what people are doing. I render a very perfected, very unrealistically perfected image of this celebrity with the help of lighting and makeup and post -production and all of that, which is al little bit of tongue-in-cheek commentary on our society's fixation with celebrity."
"And I think that is maybe sort of the secret behind this, that I'm always trying to create those gods and goddesses, but with a little bit of a humor. It's a little exaggerated. Nowadays, which is very interesting, you know how young people tend to not know that much about the past. Today's 20-year-olds have never heard of the Beatles or the Rolling Stones."
"And sometimes on Twitter or on TikTok, I see this series of photos of mine, and they say it's AI. And it's like, 'no, I photographed that 20 years ago, AI did not exist at that it point it wasn't like accessible. And so I laugh because my work does kind of look AI except it's not. I'm the AI - so I think that's pretty funny actually. As I celebrate my 30th career anniversary, my goal remains to document pop culture! a wider conversation to further investigate this phenomena.”
Markus spoke as he celebrates 30 years as a photographer with his work now exhibited at major sites like Bergamot Art Station in Los Angeles, at Frieze. Many of his celebrity portraits will be showcased at the upcoming Art Basel Miami alongside after a star studded appearance at Frieze.
