After the two-season disaster that was Go Go for the Gold, OUTtv is back with a brand new stripper reality competition series Dark Room Duel hosted by RuPaul's Drag Race icon Willam.
The seven-episode series, which is produced by Daddy TV (For The Love of DILFs, X-Rated: NYC) and is set to begin filming in October, will feature multi-talented male-strippers going head-to-head in a series of themed challenges and performances.
The contestant who makes it to the top of a bracket-based elimination system will win a prize package that includes the amazing opportunity to open for Willam during one of their iconic live shows. Judging alongside William will be drag artist Meatball Queen (Dragula, Sloppy Seconds Podcast) and legendary adult entertainer Rhyheim Shabazz (2024 GayVN Performer of the Year).
Willam said: “I used to book and manage strippers back in the day, and still some of my best friends are strippers. Trust me, when it comes to taking off clothes I know what I’m talking about. Plus, I love making stuff with OUTtv. I think they really get what people want from a queer TV show: me at the top of the call sheet!”
Here's what Philip Webb, COO of OUTtv added: “Collaborating with Willam on a new project is always such a joy because they bring the perfect balance of wit, know-how, and pure charisma. We’re thrilled to be adding Willam’s Dark Room Duel to OUTtv’s roster of diverse, LGBTQ+ programming.”
As someone who is a fan of Willam as a personality, and since male stripping is just as entertaining as the art of drag, I'm definitely excited to see what Willam and DaddyTV plan to come up with once Dark Room Duel hits the airwaves.
