Pop music fans around the world have long speculated about whether they'll ever get a continuation of Lady Gaga's "Telephone" music video — and perhaps even another iconic collaboration between Mother Monster and Beyoncé! Now, it seems like Gaga is hinting at an actual answer.

The music video for Lady Gaga and Beyoncé's hit collaboration "Telephone" notably ends with the phrase, "To be continued..." And fans have been waiting with bated breath ever since.

In a new video for Vanity Fair, the "Abracadabra" singer took a lie detector test and confirmed the long-awaited "Telephone" continuation is still coming — and despite remaining tight-lipped on the details, it seems she and Beyoncé could join forces once again.

"The video for your song 'Telephone' said 'To be continued...' at the end. Will it ever be continued?" asked the outlet's host.

"Yes," Gaga replied shakily, as if a bit hesitant to directly answer.

"When?" the host followed up.

"I don't know," said Gaga.

"Will this person be in it?" the host then asked, showing a photo of Queen Bey.

"Maybe," responded Gaga, holding up the photo and flashing a smile.

"Telephone" was released as the second single off 2009's The Fame Monster. The collaboration reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned a Grammy nomination for best pop collaboration with vocals.

The song's accompanying music video, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, premiered in March 2010. A sequel to Gaga's "Paparazzi" visual, the campy, over-the-top clip depicts Gaga as a very fashionable prisoner in jail for killing her husband with poison.

Beyoncé then bails Gaga out of jail, and they embark on a road trip in the Pussy Wagon from Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 1, murdering a slew of men in a diner before driving off into the desert as the continuation teaser flashes on screen.

Gaga is currently gearing up to release her seventh studio album Mayhem on March 7. The project has been preceded by the singles "Die with a Smile" with Bruno Mars, "Disease" and "Abracadabra."

Aside from the Mars collaboration, the only other featured artist on the album is Gesaffelstein on the track "Killah" — so it's quite possible the long-awaited "Telephone" sequel will not appear on Mayhem.

According to Mother Monster herself, however, fans shouldn't give up hope for the iconic music video's next chapter.

Elsewhere in the Vanity Fair video, Gaga responded to a claim that she allegedly once wanted to perform at SXSW from inside a Doritos vending machine.

"I wanted to perform inside the vending machine? That sounds like I might've said that. I don't remember though," she said.
