Netflix has unleashed the teaser for the Jennifer Lopez action film The Mother, and I have to say it looks pretty good.
A deadly female assassin (Lopez) comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men.
I have to say it's great to see JLo in her element, headlining a tough, physically grueling action role rather than those corny rom-coms. Cinematically I've always preferred 'Out of Sight' JLo and 'The Cell' JLo over 'Marry Me' and 'Maid In Manhattan' JLo.
In addition to Lopez, THE MOTHER also stars Jennifer Lopez, Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci, and Gael Garcia Bernal.
Directed by Niki Caro (Mulan), The Mother is slated for a May 2023 release on Netflix, with the first teaser coming as part of Tudum, the online fan event produced by Netflix to promote its upcoming slate of films and TV shows.
