
Sony Pictures has finally unveiled the first poster for its revival of the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” teen slasher franchise which opens this Summer.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) is directing the brand new installment in the slasher franchise, which brings the ’90s horror saga back to theaters on July 18, 2025.
Freddie Prinze Jr. will also reprise his role from the original two movies, with this new installment coming along 27 years after the release of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
In this year’s new movie, “When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.
“As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”
Billy Campbell, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Haur-King, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols, and Gabbriette will be among the fresh faces joining the franchise’s legacy cast members.
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) is set to direct the new installment in the franchise for Sony, with Leah McKendrick (M.F.A.) writing the original draft of the screenplay.
Jim Gillespie directed the original 1997 slasher, I Know What You Did Last Summer, which was written by Kevin Williamson (Scream) and based on Lois Duncan’s novel.
