For those of you who don’t know, one of my all-time favorite shows to ever grace the presence of network television is Hannibal, and I will say that I was beyond crushed when NBC canceled it after three seasons. I truly believe that if Hannibal were to come out today on a streaming service, that it would most definitely thrive beyond the seasons they were given at the time.
So it should come as no surprise as to how excited I was when I found out Netflix will be streaming all three seasons of the dark and visually stunning series beginning next month. I cannot wait to relive the moments between Will (Hugh Dancy) and Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen).
Since CBS has just given the green light to a series based on Clarice Starling (which will take place one year after the events in Silence of the Lambs), I’ve got my fingers crossed that if enough people who didn’t watch the show the first time will check it out on Netflix, and hopefully we could see a Hannibal revival down the line.
All three seasons of Hannibal will be up for streaming on June 5.
