While appearing on The Breakfast Club earlier this week, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes attempted to throw shade at former Real Housewives of New York cast mate Eboni K Williams.
However, Eboni appeared the next day on The Breakfast Club and clapped back at the bitter reality star with receipts.
To give context, NeNe sat down with Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, and shared her thoughts on the current state of the Real Housewives franchise, and the differences between being famous and being known. She also stated that many of the ladies on the franchise are not stars.
Here's what she said:
“Like, these girls on these shows, they’re just not stars. If you really look at it, all of the stars that were on any of these franchises, they took them off and everybody that is left is starless.”
When asked about Eboni K Williams, she attempted to pull a Mariah and pretended not to know her:
“I don’t know her either. Is she famous or is she known?”
Williams, who appeared on The Breakfast Club the next day as a co-host, responded to NeNe's claims.
It turns out, not only does NeNe know who Williams is, but the attorney also provided receipts via text messages, and revealed that Leakes named her in her racial discrimination lawsuit against Bravo.
Here's what Williams said:
“I was named in NeNe’s legal complaint. I’m actually a named person as an example of the racial discrimination that she alleged Bravo of participating in. She cites my example, what I went through with Ramona on camera. So the court documents say you do know me NeNe.”
We can't deny that NeNe definitely deserves her flowers to all she has contributed to the reality TV game, and basically bringing a much different audience to Bravo. She was also quite entertaining on RHOA when she was game. However since being fired from Bravo she's been coming across as bitter.
She does make valid points in regards to being famous versus known. There are some people who are famous outside of the Housewives franchise, like Kandi Burruss for example, and there are some who have become famous from the Housewives success, which is why they're called Bravolebrities.
