During an interview with Gloria Velez for her podcast — which was subsequently aired on VladTV on Saturday (August 5) — the “Miss Independent” singer revealed that he doesn’t agree with children being able to do what he referred to as “choosing their genders.”
“If your little boy comes up to you and says, ‘Daddy I wanna be a girl,’ you just let him rock with that? Where did he get that?” Ne-Yo said. “If you let this five-year-old little boy eat candy all day, he’s gonna do that. Like, when did it become a good idea to let a 5-year-old, a 6-year-old, a 12-year-old make a life-changing decision? When did that happen? Like, I don’t get that. I don’t understand that.”
Velez then talked about the process of gender transitioning, saying that she didn’t agree with puberty blockers or “cutting off his pee-pee,” to which Ne-Yo replied: “He can’t drive a car, but he can decide to change his sex?”

So what big head is saying is that it's okay for parents to choose their children's genders (since they didn't even ask to be born, BTW), but a child, who is growing to be their own individual self doesn't have the right to choose how they decide to identify?
I know soup coolers non career-having ass isn't talking, especially when it comes to his sexuality, he's been given the side-eye. I lost respect for Ne-Yo a long time ago when he had his ex-wife Monyetta tie her tubes and then went on to get another woman pregnant.
I don't understand why so-called straight people, or big head, unattractive men like Ne-Yo can't keep the gays and the trans out of their mouth.
This is obviously a ploy for attention especially since Ne-Yo hasn't had a hit in over a decade.
Yes it's true that when we were growing up there were only two genders...that you were aware of.
As you get older, you evolve and you learn that other people be it race, gender and sexual orientations exist beyond what you've been exposed to.
So just like when you were a kid and you told your parents that you wanted to sing, produce songs, and attempt to steal Michael Jackson's entire dance style, should one or more of your children come to you and tell you that they are gay or trans, as a parent you should listen to them and support them. Yes you helped make them with your DNA, but kids are not property for you to control.
Otherwise, they could end up like every other queer statistic and either be homeless or end up unaliving themselves.
So Ne Yo, kindly mind the business that pays you, tend to your own rugrats, and worry less about how other grown adults decide to raise their children.
