Mase is clearly familiar with the age-old adage, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

The Harlem native announced on his show, It Is What It Is that his first album in over 20 years will arrive on the first day of Diddy’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial.

On the March 7 episode of the sports talk show, Mase also revealed Cam’ron had a hand in curating the tracklist.

“Mo, what’s good? Can y’all hear the music?” Murda asked former football player Maurice Clarett at around the 1:05 minute mark. “I’m listening to the songs that Killa picked out of the stuff I made.”

“These are the songs he picked, so I’m listening to his lineup,” he added. “It’s gonna be crazy. We had to pick the right records.”

When Clarett asked when Mase is planning to share the music, he said, “May 25. The first day of the Diddy trial. We’re dropping. You like that? You made me put it out there. I wasn’t going to put that out there.”

Murda shared that the album is going to be a “triple CD,” proclaiming that now he and Diddy are “even,” referring to his turbulent relationship with his former Bad Boy Records label boss, Diddy.

However, Diddy’s trial date has long been set for May 5, so Mase would have to move up his release date if he wants his drop to coincide. Murda Mase’s last album was 2004’s Welcome Back, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
