Pop icon Madonna, who is knee deep into the European leg of her Celebration world tour reveals she didn’t think she would survive her intense medical emergency that landed her in the hospital and forced her to postpone her Celebration world tour earlier this summer.

“Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital and I was unconscious, and people were thinking, predicting that I might not make it,” she said during her “Celebration” tour stop at Antwerp, Belgium on Saturday, per a fan video.
“So, it’s a f—ing miracle that I’m here right now.”
The Queen of Pop speculated that her mom — who died from breast cancer at age 30 — was taking care of her.
“My mother, God bless her, she must be watching over me,” Madonna added while holding back her tears. “She said, ‘Girl, it’s not your time to go.’”
The Grammy winner, 65, then reflected on her mother’s last days and “how lonely she must have felt laying in a hospital, knowing that she wasn’t going to live.”
“I was given another chance,” she continued. “So I’m very grateful for that.”
The “Vogue” singer, who kicked off her tour in London on Oct. 14, further admitted she wasn’t 100 percent recovered.
“I must tell you, I don’t feel really well right now, but I can’t complain ’cause I’m alive,” she said. “Thank God for my children and all of you for your love and support, I really appreciate it.”
Madonna’s return to the stage comes several months after she was admitted to the ICU for a bacterial infection.
In June, Page Six exclusively revealed that the “Material Girl” songstress had been found unresponsive in her New York City home after “strenuously rehearsing” and “putting in 12-hour days.”
The “Like a Prayer” hitmaker later opened up about the frightening experience while thanking her six children — Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, Mercy, 17, and twins Stella and Estere, 11 — who stayed by her side.
“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children,” she wrote on Instagram in July, adding that she would have to postpone her highly anticipated concert dates to “focus” on her recovery and health.
The “Like a Virgin” singer didn’t stay down for long and was back at rehearsals in August.
“She is very much still in recovery, but Madonna has been chomping at the bit to get back to rehearsals,” a source told the Sun at the time.
Up until her tour kickoff, Madonna regularly teased her comeback on social media while dolled up in corsets and heavy makeup in selfies posted to Instagram.
As a friend of mine says, Madonna is the last of the Elm Street children, so after seeing the clips of her show online I'm glad to see she's still performing and being the pop icon she was born to be.
