MADONNA EXPRESSES SHOCK AND DISAPPOINTMENT OVER GEORGE FLOYD DEATH

Ever since we saw the shocking (but all too common) video of a racist police officer (who internet sleuths discovered is a – SHOCKER – Trump supporter), killing George Floyd by pressing his knee on his neck for seven minutes, millions of Americans and celebrities have expressed their outrage over how white police officers continue to take the lives of unarmed black men.

Madonna, who is a mother to four black children, and never one to shy away from being a voice for the voiceless is one of many celebrities who took to social media to express their outrage over George’s death, and even channeled Public Enemy in the process:

“This Officer knew he was being filmed and murdered him with arrogance and Pride. This has to stop!! Until we can over come Racism in America— no one should be allowed to carry a gun. Most of all cops,” she continued. “God Bless you George Floyd Im so sorry for you and your family. And all the senseless killings that have gone before you. Will it ever end? I pray to GOD it does one day.”

Until then—F— The Police!” she concluded. “Yea I said it. Im not interested in being PC. Im interested in Justice.”

Four of the police officers on the scene were fired for their actions, but in my opinion more needs to happen. Police officers who continue to exercise their racism and hide behind their badge should be arrested and charged with murder. Even the mayor of Minneapolis wants the officer who killed George Floyd behind bars. Hopefully we’ll see George get the justice he deserves, but the way our system is set up I’m not holding my breath.
