Madonna and Ex Carlos Leon Share Rare Family Snaps of daughter Lourdes for her 28th birthday

Lourdes Leon celebrated her 28th birthday in style, as her famous parents took to Instagram to pay loving tributes to their talented daughter.

Her mother Madonna shared a montage of videos of her daughter singing and modeling as well as throwback photos from throughout Lourdes' life.

Madge's song Little Star, off 1998's Ray of Light was dedicated to her then-toddler and she referenced it in the caption of her post, bringing a bit of joy to the process of mourning the recent death of her brother Christopher Ciccone.

'Lourdes, Maria Ciccone Leon!!! Happy Birthday to my first born! My one and only Little Star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️,' her caption began.

'But there is nothing Little about you. Big energy. Big heart. Big light. You were and always will be my first true love.♥️♥️♥️ Shine on Lolita Shine on.'

Lourdes' father Carlos Leon also got in on the birthday tribute, sharing a selection of current and old photos of himself with his first born.

'Happy birthday to my beautiful smart talented daughter ! 28 years young,' his caption began.

'It felt like yesterday you came into my life! Keep your head up and take no prisoners,' he instructed.

'You’re a queen and a lioness! You have the world in your hands! Love you to the moon and back !!! pop’s @o.g.daddy_ ,' he wrote.

Lourdes made her entry into the world on October 14, 1996 to her pop star mom and personal fitness trainer dad.

From the start, the Material Girl was smitten with her little girl.

Madonna was inspired to write the song Little Star from her Grammy-winning album Ray of Light about her daughter.

Lourdes has her mother's vocal talent and released her debut single, Lock & Key, under the stage name Lolahol.

She is also a successful fashion model who has worked for Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Mugler and Swarvoski.

In the past, Lourdes has said her mom was 'a control freak, when she was growing up.

However, now that she's an adult, she has a different viewpoint on how she was raised.

She is especially grateful for 'how empowering to other women and ahead of her time she has always been,' People reported.
