Lydia B. Kollins Had Just Five Days to Prepare for All Stars 10: ‘F**k yeah, Why Not?’

One of the biggest known secrets in the “Drag Race” world was that Pittsburgh drag queen Lydia B. Kollins did double duty last year. Not only did she make her global debut on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 17, but she also did something only one queen has ever done. Just a few weeks after returning home, Kollins agreed to participate in “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 10, with just five days to prep. An achievement pulled off by only one other queen in the history of the franchise, Chad Michaels.

“I had gotten back from season 17 filming, and it was like three weeks later they called [with the All Stars 10 invite],” she revealed. “And I had about five days to a week to sort of get it all prepared and already, but it was chill. I think that if there’s anyone who could do it, it is LBK.”

It was also, Lydia added, an “automatic yes” to an immediate Werk Room Ru-turn, a feat that has only been achieved by five other queens – Latrice Royale and Chad Michaels (season 4 to All Stars 1), Aja (season 9 to All Stars 3), and Monét X Change and Mo Heart (season 10 to All Stars 4) – two of whom won their All Stars season.

“To go back, I feel like you can’t pass up an opportunity to A, be on TV, and also B, get to share your art in front of RuPaul. So yeah, automatically I was like, ‘F**k yeah, why not? What do I have to lose?'” she told the publication.

Lydia also teased that even though we’ve just seen her season 17 package (so to speak), she’s still had an All Stars glow up.

“For the next part, for part two, the Rumix, I went balls to the wall, and it was something that I am doing things that I would’ve never previously thought of doing. So, I’m very excited to let that out.”

Lydia will be joined by a cast of seventeen other Drag Race alumni, including Ginger Minj (for her third All Stars),

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 will be available to stream on Paramount+ in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally from 9 May.
