LL Cool J To Headline First Tour In 30 Years

Now that hip hop G.O.A.T. LL Cool J has a bit of free time on his hands with the cancellation of the long-running CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles, the rap icon is set to headline his first tour in three decades.

The 24-stop “The F.O.R.C.E. Live” tour, which stands for Frequencies of Real Creative Energy, is set to kick off in June with The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and DJ Z-Trip accompanying him.

On select city dates, fellow hip hop legends Salt-N-Pepa, Queen Latifah, Rakim, Common, MC Lyte, Method Man & Redman, Big Boi, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice T, are set to join LL on the F.O.R.C.E. Live tour.

Here's what LL Cool J said in a statement:

“I’m excited to be on my first arena tour in 30 years. It’s proof that our culture is more viable than ever. Get ready for some nonstop beats and rhymes. See you this summer!”

Based on the tour's itinerary I'm guessing the hip hop tribute that took place at the Grammys earlier this year may have been the spark of inspiration for this Summer tour.
