Shudder has announced Queer For Fear: The History of Queer Horror, a brand new project heading to their streaming service later this year.
The four-part docuseries, executive produced by Bryan Fuller (Hannibal, American Gods) will explore the influence of the LGBTQ community throughout the horror genres.
Here’s what Fuller said during a panel earlier innthe week, “As queer people we are considered outside of society & horror is outside of society. What it means to not be accepted by society but have a soul.”
There is no doubt in my mind how much of an influence the queer community has had on horror films, and with the success of queer content such as Dragula, I’m hoping we will also see more queer-based horror content on the streaming service.
