LAW & ORDER: SVU TACKLES THE JUSSIE SMOLLETT CASE

If you happen to check out Thursday’s episode of Law & Order: SVU, you may wonder why the episode may seem a bit familiar. That’s because the long-running series has taken inspiration from the Jussie Smollett case.

For those of you who have been living under a rock: Earlier this year Smollett claims he received a threatening letter at Fox Studios containing a powdery white substance. About a week later, he claimed two guys wearing MAGA doused him with bleach, punched, kicked, and threw a noose around his neck, all while shouting racist and homophobic insults by two Trump supporters in MAGA hats while grabbing a late-night meal at Subway.

While many immediately rallied around the actor’s claims of bigotry at the hands of Trump’s disciples, soon after people started to sense that something in the milk ain’t clean.

Shortly after, two men – brothers Ola and Abel Osundario, were questioned by police, with one of them turning out to be a personal trainer and extra Jussie encountered on the set of Empire, and that’s when Jussie’s world started to crumble, as he was hit with 16 felony charges after the men claimed they were paid by Jussie to stage the attack as to gain sympathy for threats he was receiving that had gone ignored by Fox .

As a longtime watcher of SVU, I’ll definitely be watching the episode, and will give my full analysis on my podcast this Saturday at 2pm EST on Alldigitalradio.com
