Lance Bass Says He Made Way More Money After Splitting From *NSYNC

At the turn of the millennium, *NSYNC was riding high as one of the biggest selling boy bands next to fellow rivals the Backstreet Boys. But all the glamour surrounding the illusions of fame isn't all that it seems.

Lance Bass, 43, recently appeared on Sirius XM's The Jess Cagle Show, and the former NSYNC-er revealed that he made more money post *NSYNC than being in the band.

When host Jess Cagle asked Bass to share the best and worst parts about being “rich and famous really young,” the ‘N Sync singer gave a surprising answer.

Well, the worst thing is people thinking that we were rich, because we were not.”

Lou [Pearlman] took all of our money. We were famous, but we were not rich. I made way more money after *NSYNC than I did during *NSYNC.

He [Pearlman] really took a majority of all of our stuff. And the record label too. Horrible, horrible deals.

But, it wasn't all behind-the-scenes doom and gloom, as Bass shared his fondest memories with Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone.

“To do that, with those guys, it was incredible. And you had some of the best experiences ever. Obviously, it changed my life, led me to so many things I wanted to do in life,” he said.
