Justin Timberlake Debuts Gospel Song ‘Sanctified’ With Tobe Nwigwe On SNL

The Pat Boone of urban pop Justin Timberlake made his fifth appearance as a solo artist on SNL last night as the show's musical guest, and in addition to his dry first single Selfish, the former NSYNC-er debuted a new "gospel-lite" track with Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe.

As for his new song, like Selfish, he could have left this song in the vault, because other than the background singers (who are killing it vocally), they're drowning JT out with his high ass voice. I also find nothing holy or "sanctified" about this song.

The forthcoming set follows 2018’s Man of the Woods, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

If you care, his sixth solo album Everything I Thought It Was (which to me sounds like he's ripping off the Asians with Everything Everywhere All At Once) drops on March 15th.
