The Hollywood Reporter is being called out for their article criticizing Chappell Roan (who they named Chappell Groan, BTW) for having their guest columnist call out the Good Luck Babe singer for dragging the music industry for not taking care of their artists.

After Chappell Roan's historic Grammys speech where she called for the music industry to offer artists a living wage and health care, The Hollywood Reporter has published a guest column from music executive Jeff Rabhan calling Roan "too green too and too uninformed" and saying her speech after winning Best New Artist was "a hackneyed and plagiarized script of an artist basking in industry love while broadcasting naïveté and taking aim at the very machine that got her there."

Rabhan repeatedly talks down to Roan in the piece, asking if in addition to a living wage and health care, she wants Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records, to "put a mint on her pillow and tuck her in at night, too," calling her "the kid who didn't get picked for dodgeball," telling her "there's still room for puppy dogs and ice cream in this story," and informing the adult Roan "this isn't a game of laser tag at the mall with your friends."

Now, queer artists and music industry veterans are letting The Hollywood Reporter know exactly how they feel about the guest column on THR's Instagram page.

Producer and songwriter Justin Tranter, who has written hits for artists like Chappell Roan, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Janelle Monáe, and Lady Gaga, had this to say: "Please delete this. Now."

Filmmaker Sarah Ann Masse, who was one of the first women to come forward about Harvey Weinstein's abuse, said, "This is such an entitled, condescending, misogynistic article. Ew." Actor Jacqueline Toboni (The L Word: Generation Q) added that the column was "outrageously misguided."

Filmmaker, DJ, and Los Angeles hospitality industry pro Marsha Molinari added "Wow! This is trash," while actor and filmmaker Tommy Dorfman said "this is the most insane take i–."

Drag queen Cynthia Lee Fontaine had a lot to say about the article. "I just can't believe what I read… this person just [criticize] CR when her main message in her acceptance speech was for health insurance for artist????" she wrote. "Benefits that really matter for the well being of the artists! Jeff please don't make me start…"

Many others in the comments are calling onTHRto delete the guest column and "do better."
