Out singer-songwriter Orville Peck stuns as he takes it all off in his photo shoot for PAPER.
The South African-born singer raised plenty of eyebrows with his hot shoot, and the singer, who recently released a new single with Kylie Minogue called Midnight Ride (produced by Diplo and will be on his next album Stampede Vol 2) sat down with his friend RuPauls Drag Race queen Gottmik and opened up about his rising career (he's the first openly gay country star to be signed to a major label), his creative process, those fetishistic masks that keeps him mysterious, and his future plans.
On Scaling Back The Look of His Masks With The Release of His New Albums:
"Not to get too deep about it, but it's sort of a parallel with my songwriting and with just who I want to be as an artist and a person, which is to always be more vulnerable and reveal a bit more of myself through my music and everything," he said. "So it's kind of just the evolution. I don't know where it'll end up and I don't know how it'll look in the end. I don't make any plans about it. But I think that's important."
While the article definitely gives us a peek at the man behind the mask, what really drew me in was the impeccable photo shoot.
On the cover art we see Orville naked, riding a bull made of balloons, and in another shoot we see Orville's naked bum while shooting a balloon gun. He also pays homage to Chris Evans' Not Another Teen Movie character where he's rocking a whipped cream bikini.
In the five years Orville has been grinding in the music world, he truly started to blow up within the past year when he became the first openly gay country singer to sign to a major label.
Since then he released an album of duets, Stampede: Vol. 1 last month, with the single "Cowboys are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other" with Willie Nelson getting lots of attention from fans and critics.
The gays immediately took to Twitter, and didn't hold back on the thirsty AF comments. "He's in his BBL era. Now the back matches the front," one person wrote alongside an eggplant emoji. "I need a word stronger than daddy," and "I'm weak, sit on my face sir, PLEASE," other fans wrote.
But it didn't stop there; other people offered to be his top or bottom, some joked that the photos made them pregnant, while others wrote, "Need to see his Orville Pecker I fear," and "Suddenly my face is a chair."
