Dr. Umar Says Eminem Can't Be Rap G.O.A.T. Because He's White

The always loud and wannabe controversial for clicks and likes Dr. Umar recently appeared on the Joe Budden podcast, and when he wasn't going in on one of the black co-hosts for dating a white woman, he also had some smoke for Eminem.

Dr Umar is no stranger to public drama, beefs, and viral rants. All of that sort of came together during a recent appearance he made on the Joe Budden podcast. In the clip, he warned about the dangers of white people invading the African space of rap music. The reason he has such an issue with it is that white rappers can divorce themselves from the culture of rap music and return to white privilege whenever they want.

Unsurprisingly, some of the other guests on the podcast and even Budden himself disagree. When Budden asks Umar if Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time he has an answer. He claims that no non-African could be the best at any piece of African culture. By comparison he claims that he couldn’t go to a place like Palestine and become the best at anything Palestinian. That sparks a full on debate between all of the guests on the show discussing Eminem, the GOAT debate, and even white supremacy.

Check out the full clip of their conversation below.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's white supremacy. I do feel that Eminem is definitely a talented rapper, and can go toe to toe with some of the best spitters in the game since he came up battle rapping.

I think the issue is how the industry treated Eminem once he became a successful, versatile rapper. The difference between Eminem and those people Umar is referring to is that Em has a deep respect for hip hop culture. The argument should be towards the powers that be (who made sure he won every award he was nominated for) who saw his talent and success as a way to turn him into the great white hope that was going to whitewash the culture.

Now I do agree that we tend to invite too many white people who cosplay black culture to the cookout without vetting them long enough (Michael Rappaport and Justin Timberlake immediately come to mind).

We need to protect the things we build at all costs, but unfortunately once it slithers into mainstream spaces it ends up being white washed for worldwide and financial consumption.

Sidebar: Since this Umar idiot wants to go so hard on being anti-white, and brought up building schools and hospitals into the conversation, has anyone asked him what's going on with that school he's supposed to be building? I swear this clown is the new Joanne the scammer.
