Demi Moore is reportedly struggling with intense disappointment after missing out on her chance at an Academy Award at the 2025 ceremony on Sunday.

After winning the Golden Globe in the same category, the “Substance” star “was really hopeful that she had secured this win,” the insider says.

“Demi is taking this loss very hard because she felt like this was finally her chance to take home an Academy Award.”

The A-list actress, 62, “is thrilled for Mikey and all the other women who were nominated for this award,” our source tells Page Six.

“But of course, it was a huge disappointment not hearing her name be called.”

According to the insider, “A ton of people came up to Demi at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party to show their love and support for her work.”

A rep for Moore did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

In the horror film, Moore portrays Elisabeth Sparkle, a fading celebrity who comes across a black market drug that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself.

Moore and Madison were nominated for one of the most coveted awards of the night alongside Fernanda Torres for “I’m Still Here,” “Emilia Pérez” star Karla Sofía Gascón and “Wicked” actress Cynthia Erivo.

The “Ghost” star looked visibly upset and tensed her jaw when she heard the 25-year-old’s name being called out over her own, per a video shared on X.

After making her way to the stage in a daze, Madison addressed attendees while clutching her Oscar, saying, “This is very surreal. I grew up in Los Angeles, but Hollywood always felt so far away from me, so to be here, standing in this room today, is really incredible.”

The “Scream” actress also addressed her fellow nominees, saying, “I also just want to recognize the thoughtful, intelligent, beautiful, breathtaking work of my fellow nominees. I’m honored to be recognized alongside all of you.”

She added, “This is a dream come true. I’m probably going to wake up tomorrow.”
