Just hours after the news broke about Daddy Yankee's lawsuit against his ex-wife, she has already responded. On Tuesday, March 4, it was reported that Mireddys González had been sued by her ex for $250 million. The lawsuit also includes her sister, Ayeicha González.
After the news broke, Mireddys, who has two children with the singer, took to social media to share her feelings about her challenging situation.
Mireddys expressed her feelings about the multimillion-dollar lawsuit by sharing her perspective on Instagram Stories. Although it wasn't an official statement, the businesswoman posted several images along with Bible verses to help her followers understand her situation. One of the images read: "Stop having empathy for people who treat you badly."

In a recent post shared by El Cangri's ex-wife, the following phrase was noted: "Do not dwell on the past, do not dream of the future, focus your mind on the present moment."
In another post, Mireddys referenced her nearly 30-year marriage to Daddy Yankee, discussing emotional attachment with a phrase that suggests how this can blind people. "Emotional attachment is a prison for the soul; it makes you see virtues that do not exist and hopes where there are none."
Despite the difficult time she is going through, Mireddys appears hopeful that this will soon pass, finding solace in her faith. She also shared Bible verses, including: "While the world tells you: 'After the storm comes the calm,' God tells you: 'I am the calm in the midst of the storm.'"
González also posted phrases such as: "Pray, surrender it to God, go to sleep."
As for the Gasolina singer, he has remained silent regarding the lawsuit against his ex. However, on Wednesday, March 5, he reappeared on Instagram Stories, sharing a link to the video "En el desierto."

The End of Their Marriage
In February, it was announced that Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Ramón Ayala, and Mireddys González had officially ended their nearly 30-year marriage. According to the morning show "Despierta América," the couple finalized their divorce on February 18. The dissolution of their marriage occurred via a virtual hearing, with each of them present in their respective lawyers' offices rather than meeting in person.
González shared an emotional message on social media after signing the divorce documents. "I'm proud of myself. No one knows how hard it was to let go of people I loved, to say NO when I was dying to say YES... Thank you, but I don't want to go back anymore," she wrote. Judge Eva Soto of the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance ruled that the divorce was an "irreparable breakdown."
Their divorce came just weeks before what would have been their 30th wedding anniversary. However, their relationship had been strained for some time. In the final months of 2024, rumors of separation circulated, and in December 2024, the singer confirmed their split through a message on his social media.
