Coachella 2025 Adds Ed Sheeran And Weezer After FKA twigs, Anitta, & Gel Cancel

Ed Sheeran has saved the day for Coachella organizers and festival goers.

FKA twigs, Anitta, and Gel have all canceled their sets, and Weezer and Ed Sheeran have been added. And rather than the big-stage, late-night set you might expect of them, they’ll be playing the smaller Mojave stage at 3:00 p.m., with Weezer scheduled for Saturday of Weekend One and Sheeran for Saturday of Weekend Two. (For reference, headliner Travis Scott performs at midnight both of those nights.)

Twigs has recently had to cancel all the North American dates for her Eusexua tour due to visa issues. “Production did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner for us to have our visas to come to the USA and perform,” she wrote, before adding that she wouldn’t be able to make the rescheduled dates either. She hasn’t given any updates since then.

Fans took to social media to share their frustration over the last-minute cancellation of various concerts. Some also slammed the star for pulling out of the Ceremonia festival for a total of three times.

One penned, 'Again, girl?? What's the point of spending money on tickets, flights, and hotels just to get canceled on for the third time? You've had months to sort this out... Via issues at you big age? Be serious. Your fans deserve respect.'

Another wrote, 'You don't need a visa for Mexico. Three times it's too much already,' and a fan shared, 'sounds like a porous managed tour.. difficult to make money on these.'

'You do not need a visa to perform here in Mexico. Third time you cancel here...and at the last moment,' one typed.

They added, 'You are totally lacking empathy (Which is impressive being an artist...) towards your followers that traveled and saved money to see you, by cancelling at the last moment. Today you're losing fans, definitely.'

One Twitter user commented, 'likes there's no way u can't have ur visa since ur announcement on ceremonia, and that was november last year, what a disappointing move from u.'

One asked, 'WHY do you want the whole world to turn against you? how can you afford all of those fines for last minute show cancellation?

'If you really wanted to do these shows you could've show up with a few people in your team and yourself, we wanted YOU, in mx you don't even visa lmao,' they added.

Another wrote, 'Girl bye!! We were so excited to see u at Coachella,' and a fan shared, 'incredible how you've canceled on every show/festival I've bought tickets to see out at 3 years in a row...hard to be a fan despite how good your music is!'

One commented, 'Girl fire your whole team immediately, this is embarrassing at this point.'

A fan also shared, 'twigs... ceremonia is not going to refund anyone for your unprofessionalism..., in mexico city sometimes festivals are the way we can attend performances like yours.

'Maybe if you include mexico city on the eusexua tour, we have many venues here.. maybe we can forgive you.'

Another simply typed out, 'This is a joke, honestly,' and one added, 'eusexua officially flopped asf.'

However, others came to the defense of FKA twigs and one penned, 'we love you forever and can't wait to see the show when you're able.'

Meanwhile, New Jersey hardcore band Gel announced last month that they were suddenly breaking up, accusing their former guitarist Anthony Webster of “heinous acts” that caused “irreparable damage to the band.” As for Anitta, the Brazilian pop star announced a couple of weeks ago that she’d be backing out of Coachella, simply citing “unexpected personal reasons.”
