Gays are known for being masters of many things - helping women look good, we make great cooks, and no one gives a great bologna wash than a man.
So how funny was it that when five-time Grammy award winner and pop legend Christina Aguilera received the Advocate for Change award from Michael Anderson, who survived the deadly shooting at Colorado Springs’ Club Q nightclub in November 2022, she thanked the gays for teaching her about life and how to give great head.
Here's what Xtina said during her speech: “I grew up in this community as most of my lifelong best friends identify as LGBTQ. So much of who I am and what I do is because of each of you, and our shared experience of having to fight for equality and freedom in some capacity.”
“Side by side we’ve learned and taught each other everything about life, from business to relationships, to music, family … and of course, how to give a good blowjob,” she continued, to huge laughter from the audience.
“I’m just saying, we know how to get dirrty,” she added, referencing her hit 2002 single of the same name.
Christina Aguilera has been a huge ally and advocate for the queer community since the beginning of her career, featuring a groundbreaking, unapologetic gay kiss in her iconic music video for 2002 single “Beautiful”.
She has also raised half a billion dollars for AIDS research, been a huge supporter of trans charities, and has been very outsoken against Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' bill.
“While I’ve had years of incredible moments with this family, the community has endured decades of fighting and we will continue to do so. I’m constantly impressed by your examples of the courage it takes to fight for acceptance, respect and safety that every human being deserves, which happens to be the core message of the music and art I’ve created over the years.”
Well deserved.
