A number of RuPaul’s Drag Race queens are coming for Missouri politician Valentina Gomez after a homophobic tirade about the Olympics she posted to social media.

After Missouri political hopeful Valentina Gomez posted a bizarre video calling for the Olympics to implement a separate "f----t category," RuPaul's Drag Race queens swarmed the problematic post with condemnation for the far-right figure.
"If only you had a f----t to properly wax your upper lip and eyebrows. No wonder you are bitter," season 6 winner and world-renowned drag entertainer Bianca Del Rio replied to the clip, which Gomez shared to her X account on Thursday amid debate over the Paris Olympics boxer Imane Khelif, the Algerian sportswoman previously disqualified from the 2023 world championships after she failed an unspecified test related to gender qualifications.
"GIRL F--- YOU! YOU PICK ME ASS BITCH," Kandy Muse — season 13 alum and All Stars 8 finalist — wrote on X in response to Gomez's video, which also drew ire from All Stars 5 winner and upcoming Marvel's Ironheart star Shea Couleé, who called Gomez "a clown and a loser" on social media.
In her incendiary post, Gomez, who's running for Secretary of State in Missouri, indirectly referenced Khelif in her fiery tirade against the Olympics.
"These f----ts should get their own f----t category, because, before, if a man hit a woman, it used to land him in jail. Now, it gets you a gold medal at the Olympics," Gomez said. "These are the worst Olympics in history. They’ve made a mockery out of Christianity and women. Let me remind you, there’s no such thing as a chick with a dick. Keep women’s sports female."
Public uproar began after an instance earlier this week when one of Khelif's competitors, Italy's Angela Carini, pulled out of their match after several seconds in the ring. According to the Associated Press, Khelif's passport indicates that she was assigned female at birth, "which is the International Olympic Committee’s threshold for eligibility for boxing."
The outlet continued, noting that "Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing unspecified and untransparent eligibility tests for women’s competition from the now-banned International Boxing Association."
Other RuPaul's Drag Race franchise stars also came under fire after the opening ceremony in Paris featured season 12 queen and Drag Race France host Nicky Doll appearing during the lengthy performance alongside Drag Race France season 1 winner Paloma in a setup that many interpreted as a reference to the historic "Last Supper" painting.
Actress Candace Cameron Bure spoke out against the opening ceremony, as did British personality Laurence Fox, who called the drag performers pedophiles in a social media post during the telecast. Nicky quickly threatened Fox with legal action over his words, invoking in her response the fact that he was recently successfully sued for libel by RuPaul's Drag Race UK queen Crystal.
"It was my absolute honor to perform in front of billions of people around the world, and celebrate our olympians," Nicky later wrote on Instagram. "And remember, to the ones that had their feathers ruffled seeing queerness on their screen: WE AIN’T GOING NOWHERE."
The developments come amid a rough stretch for LGBTQ+ people around the world, which has included everything from an uptick in public violence against drag performers (both Drag Race UK star The Vivienne and Drag Race Holland winner Envy Peru came forward with stories of violence) to proposed legislation targeting the community in the United States.
If there's one thing these homophobic pick me politicians are going to learn is don't mess with fundamental Drag Race queens who will read you down to the floor.
