Bad Bunny Sets Residency in Puerto Rico With First Shows Exclusive to Locals

Bad Bunny announced on Monday (Jan. 13) that his 21-date residency at the iconic Coliseo de Puerto Rico is set to kick off July 11.

Following the release of his sixth studio album, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” Bad Bunny is plotting a 21-date residency in his native Puerto Rico. Aptly titled “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí” (“I Don’t Want to Leave Here”), a lyric made famous by his “Un Verano Sin Ti” hit, “El Apagón,” the residency will take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

Adhering to the patritomism in “Debí,” the first nine shows of the residency — from July 11 to July 27 — will be exclusive to residents of the island. The concerts will take place every weekend, running from Friday to Sunday, with the final date scheduled for Aug. 24.

The Coliseo de Puerto Rico is a cultural and profitable hub for the island’s local communities and businesses. Bad Bunny has described “Debí” as his “most Puerto Rican album” yet for its fervent lyricism on the island’s ongoing political issues including, and most gravely, gentrification. The record, released Jan. 5, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 as the reggaeton star’s seventh top 10-charting LP.

Tickets for the first nine “residents only” shows go on sale starting Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time) and will only be available for in-person purchase at various locations in Puerto Rico.

Registration for shows starting Aug. 1 open Monday and close on Jan. 14 at 11:59 p.m. AST, for the opportunity to receive a pre-sale code. For registered fans who received a code, pre-sale will begin on Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. AST.

Produced by Bad Bunny’s manager Noah Assad’s Move Concerts, the residency will also incorporate VIP concert and hotel experiences, which feature a two-night hotel stay, premium tickets and priority entry into the concert, limited edition VIP gift bags, access to the “Bad Bunny VIP Experience” and more. These packages will be available for all fans to purchase on Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. AST.
