Azealia Banks took time out of her busy non-existent schedule to throw unnecessary shade at another working artist.
The unemployed rapper went on a unnessary rant on Instagram after the "Rush" singer revealed in a recent post on Spotify's official TikTok account, that 212 was his favorite Azealia Banks song.
Any sane person who watched the clip would have taken from it that Troye was praising Azealia and 212 (which is a bop), but unfortunately that's not how she took it.
“This is these white kids’ weird way of apologizing for bandwagoning,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram Story. “Having no clue of the kind of shit happening to me behind the scenes in the industry.”
“I’m not impressed by any of these people (who I’ve never met in person nor had a conversation with me) not having the audacity to be as public and loud with their apology as they were with using their platform to cast judgment as if a singular me was an important social justice issue,” she wrote. “I would REALLY appreciate all of these f*ckin civilian ass bitches to stop mentioning me, stop dancing to my shit in the club if you’re not going to treat me like a human and take back all the unfounded bullshit you all used ur platforms to perpetuate.”
Then, Banks went in for the kill, and started to really lash out at Sivan, even calling him a pedophile.
“And your a late condescending expired Twink anyway bitch. We’ve been past 212,” she wrote in a follow-up post. “Trying ur hardest to old on to the f*cking weak ass pedophilia x incest aesthetic - perpetuating that underlying double standard that somehow pedophilia practiced amongst men is somehow okay… that fueled ur trash ass music in the first place.”
“Give it up, puberty hit that ass and made u a doofy looking young man,” she closed out, adding that she bets he’ll “pull the grift” and come out as trans next.
At first I was confused as to why she went in so hard on Sivan with her unnecessary shade, but upon further research I discovered more to the story.
Apparently years ago Troye made the following statement about Azealia with the following:
My question is, did he lie though? As an artist he has a right to proceed with caution when it comes to people who have a reputation for being problematic. You can't deny the fact that when it comes to Azealia, it goes beyond heresay and rumors.
She has made it public knowledge when it comes to her going on rants about her celebrity peers. I just wish she would put just as much energy into her music rather than throwing daggers at every celebrity she feels the need to have an opinion about.
