We are less than 24 hours away from the release of Chromatica, and Lady Gaga has given her little monsters a taste of her Sour Candy, the third single off the sixth album which also features K-pop quartet BLACKPINK.
A sassy, fun little house number, I can see the kids prancing around to this track whenever clubs open up again, but like Stupid Love and Rain On Me, it’s not a song that will be on the pop music radar a decade from now. I personally don’t get why she’s dropping another track from the album when her fans are still getting into the gig with Rain On Me.
Like single #2, Sour Candy feels like Gaga is trying to appease the streaming world by joining forces with two of the biggest pop acts of the moment. And it it just me, or does parts of Sour Candy remind you of Katy Perry‘s Swish Swish?
I just wish the song was longer than 2:38 and Gaga was on the song more, because it feels like a BLACKPINK featuring Gaga track rather than the other way around.
