Shortly after dropping remixes of Break My Soul from Will.i.Am, Honey Dijon, Terry Hunter and Nita Aviance, Beyoncé has unleashed The Queens Remix featuring the Queen of Pop herself Madonna.
A DJ friend of mine played it for me before it was unleashed to the public, and I have to say it's a cute remix. I love how Beyoncé took a page out of Madonna's hand book by calling out the legendary vogue houses and black women in music icons, similar to what Madonna did when she called out all the Hollywood icons during the spoken word section of Vogue.
Beyoncé gives a shout out to “Queen Mother Madonna, Aaliyah, Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold, Bessie Smith, Nina Simone, Betty Davis, Solange Knowles, Badu this, so Kelly Rowl… Lauryn Hill, Roberta Flack, Toni, Janet, Tierra Wack. Missy, Diana, Grace Jones, Aretha, Anita, Grace Jones.”
Personally speaking I prefer the Cardi B remix, which I will post below along with The Queens Remix.
