Just two months after releasing her latest album Eternal Sunshine, Ariana Grande is already back in the studio.
The pop superstar posted a cryptic snap from the studio, aka her "happy" place, and simply captioned the black-and-white photo of the mixing desk on her Instagram Story: "happy."
The 'We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)' hitmaker’s return to the recording booth – which she is yet to confirm is for more solo music or part of her contributions to the ‘Wicked’ films - comes after she recently celebrated her grandmother's place in history after she became the oldest person ever to score a hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Ariana listed her "Nonna" Majorie Grande as a singer and a writer on the track 'Ordinary Things' on the LP, and Majorie made history when the song entered the run-down at number 55.
The 30-year-old singer-and-actress – who is set to star as Glinda in the two-part ‘Wicked’ movie adaptation - shared a picture of Majorie posing with a plaque commemorating her achievement and captioned it on Instagram: "Celebrating the one and only, most beautiful Nonna who has now made history for being the senior most person to ever appear on the @billboard Hot100.
Eternal Sunshine was the pop singer's seventh studio album, released three years after her previous full-length album, 2020's Positions. The album contained 13 tracks, with an additional 4 tracks on the Eternal Sunshine: Slightly Deluxe edition. Fans have been speculating whether Grande is releasing the deluxe version of her most recent album, Eternal Sunshine, or giving them new music.
Recently Ariana revealed that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ is set to serve as the album's third single.
Ariana's recent album came and went like a silent but deadly fart in the wind. Even though the Arianator's went out and supported the record, I don't feel like she properly promoted it. Plus I feel her not closing her legs to that married man had people dragging her on social media.
So while I feel she released Eternal Sunshine as a way to please her label while she focuses on Wicked coming out later this year, maybe she'll be giving us some compelling bops with her upcoming unreleased body of work.
