Nick and Aaron Carter had made amends before he died on Saturday at age 34. Nick and The Backstreet Boys also took a moment in the middle of their show in London on Sunday to pay tribute to Aaron.

“[Aaron] was on the path to making amends with so many people in his life, and he had made amends and made peace with Nick,” a rep for the late pop star told HollywoodLife on Monday.
“Aaron was happy about this because he loved his brother,” the rep continued. “He looked up to Nick in so many ways. They were trying to make everything good again.”
A rep for Nick did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Nick, 42, paid tribute to Aaron in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday — one day after the “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” singer was found dead in his bathtub at his California home.
“Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded,” the Backstreet Boys member captioned a slideshow of throwback pics with Aaron.
“I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.”
Nick went on to call “addiction and mental illness … the real villain” in Aaron’s passing.
“Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss,” Nick wrote. “I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….I love you baby brother.”

Nick and Aaron infamously engaged in a physical altercation on “House of Carters,” their 2006 E! reality show that highlighted their rivalry. A feud reignited in 2019 after the younger brother resurfaced the clip of their fight on social media.
“After careful consideration, my sister, Angel [Carter], and I regret that we are required to seek a restraining order against our brother, Aaron, today,” Nick tweeted at the time in response, claiming that he and Aaron’s twin sister felt unsafe around him.
Nick alleged that Aaron made a “confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child,” prompting Nick to “take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.”
Aaron denied the claims. “I have never had thoughts of causing anyone pain, let alone taking anyone’s life,” he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.
“It was hurtful to me to read those things because if these people really knew me, they would have never used that as a tactic to control me. What’s actually more hurtful though, is knowing how affected my innocent nieces and nephews will be by choices the adults around them have made.”
Aaron later claimed that Nick only filed the restraining order because he publicly sided with Dream singer Melissa Schulman, who accused Nick of raping her in 2002. (Nick vehemently denied Schuman’s allegations and her lawsuit was eventually dismissed in 2018.)
Aaron later apologized to Nick for “lashing out.” The siblings reunited later that year after Aaron was hospitalized for an undisclosed reason.

On Sunday, Nick sobbed during a tribute to Aaron at a BSB concert in London. While performing “No Place,” Nick cried as his bandmates A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough embraced him.
As for Kevin Richardson, the musician addressed the crowd.
“Tonight we’ve got heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday, and we just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize him,” he said. “Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter passed away yesterday.
“He’s a part of our family,” Richardson, 51, concluded.
Dorough, 49, chimed in, “We’d like to dedicate this song to our little brother, Aaron Carter. … May he rest in heaven.”
Aaron is survived by his 11-month-old son, Prince, whom he shared with fiancée Melanie Martin.
I'm glad both brothers were able to work out their differences before his untimely death, and I've heard rumors in regards to what Aaron may have died from. But I'm going to hold off until the official autopsy report is released.
